We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous dogs in your area. In the UK, it’s an offence for an owner to let a dog be dangerously out of control, whether in public or private. Good Afternoon all For once some positive news...... We often sadly here about large breed dogs causing carnage in our communities with owners unable to controle there Dogs. This week on patrol I have had the pleasure of meeting two owners of very large breed dogs who had there animals so incredibly trained it was a pleasure to be around them. One of the owners informed me that she had researched the breed she had for a full year before buying a pup,her due dilligence and patience in striving to train this dog to a level of being a safe and and well trained animal can only be commended. The other owner also had a dog that was on appreance intimidating but within seconds it was obvious that the said dog was also trained incredibly well. The point being that for every irrisponsible owner there are thankfully people who respect the fact that there large dog maybe intimidating and take charge of the situation by insuring that the dog is well trained which puts members of public at ease.
Wishing you all a great weekend Spencer
Please remember that: A dog is considered to be out of control if it: - Injures someone
- Makes someone worried that it might injure them
A court could also decide that your dog is dangerously out of control if: - It attacks someone’s animal
- The owner of an animal thinks they could be injured if they tried to stop your dog attacking their animal
In the UK, it's against the law to own certain types of dogs.
